Early Inspiration
Brian’s journey into veterinary medicine began in childhood. After a biking accident left him injured, he found comfort and joy in the bandages that covered his wounds—especially the ones decorated with colorful art and messages of care. This early experience not only helped him heal but also planted the seed for his future career. Growing up surrounded by beloved pets, Brian’s love for animals grew alongside his interest in medical care.
Career in Veterinary Medicine
After becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician, Brian began working in emergency clinics and special surgery, where he quickly earned a reputation for his skillful, clean, and creative bandaging techniques. His expertise includes everything from basic paw wraps to advanced tie-over bandages, and he has a particular knack for teaching others how to bandage confidently and correctly.
Brian’s Bandages
Recognizing a need for better bandaging education, Brian launched Brian’s Bandages, a platform dedicated to teaching proper, effective, and compassionate bandaging techniques. His flagship course, Bandaging 101, is available on-demand and offers a comprehensive introduction to veterinary bandaging. Brian also offers Virtual Lunch & Learn sessions for clinics, along with deeper dives for ER and specialty teams through courses like The Art of the Tie-Over Bandage.
Brian’s Bandages has also introduced a product line, including Brian’s Bandage Art, which enhances compliance and comfort by turning medical bandages into cheerful, personalized works of art.
Always seeking ways to improve the experience of veterinary professionals and elevate clinical standards, Brian Goleman took his expertise one step further by designing his own line of bandage scissors under the Brian’s Bandages brand.
Author & Creator
Brian has also authored a children’s book titled The Boy Who Bandages, a heartwarming story that blends his love for animals, his own childhood experiences, and the magic of healing. The story features lovable animal characters like Tot, Mavis, Charlie, and a mischievous kitten named Cinnamon.
