Getting To Granulation: The Art & Science of Managing the Challenging Wound

Using a framework of clinical cases, we will discuss best practices in helping a wound progress from a contaminated, compromised state to a healthy granulation bed. Topics will include assessment of tissue viability, targeted debridement, effective lavage, countering tension, and use of moisture retentive dressings to accelerate healing. Attendees will expand their ability to provide effective wound care and achieve faster, more comfortable healing for their patients. They will also have the opportunity to participate in a wound management-themed art project.
